Creating Lasting Change

About The BIPOC Men's Group

The BIPOC Men’s Group is a professionally facilitated virtual support circle dedicated to the mental, emotional, and social well-being of Black, Indigenous, and Men of Color ages 18+. Sponsored by the Wise MindBody Institute, this group provides a safe, confidential space to explore topics such as mental health, masculinity, career challenges, identity, fatherhood, and emotional resilience. Through guided discussions, mindfulness practices, and community-building, participants are empowered to strengthen their inner lives, build supportive connections, and reclaim their narratives. This initiative reflects Wise MindBody Institute’s commitment to culturally responsive care and holistic healing.

Lead Facilitator

Terry Dixon aka Go Hard Joe

Director of Fitness & Nutrition, Wise MindBody Institute

Owner, Terry Dixon Fitness

Co-Owner, Earn Dat Body Campus

Bio

As a native New Orleanian and CEO of Terry Dixon Fitness, Terry—also known as GoHardJoe—has spent his entire life immersed in a culture rich with music, art, and an eclectic array of exceptional cuisine. During his youth, he didn’t pay much attention to his diet, largely due to his constant involvement in sports and physical activity. However, as Terry matured and witnessed his peers struggle with the effects of poor eating habits and weight gain, he made a conscious decision to shift his lifestyle. Determined to perfect his craft and pursue the epitome of physical excellence, Terry transformed his passion into a profession that now supports his family.

As a certified personal trainer, Terry’s commitment to fitness is deeply tied to his love for his daughter. He works hard to set a powerful example for her and for every client he trains. Terry's mission is to guide each individual through a comprehensive lifestyle change—one that integrates nutritious eating, consistent exercise, and empowered decision-making.

Through personalized plans tailored to suit each client’s unique lifestyle and needs, Terry equips individuals with the tools they need to achieve their health and fitness goals. His areas of expertise include weight loss, endurance and strength training, muscle building, and customized nutrition plans.

Recognizing that the journey toward better health isn’t always easy, Terry—GoHardJoe—ensures that with the right guidance and structure, each person can develop the confidence and discipline necessary to sustain a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Health & Wellness Advocate

Bio

Dr. Joseph Dubery is a primary care physician, and a health and wellness advocate. Originally a native from the beautiful city of Miami, Florida. He enjoys working out, swimming, and playing tennis in his free time. With roots from the lovely island of Antigua, he is no stranger to hard work and figuring life out. A proud graduate of Howard University where he received his medical doctorate, and family medicine training. He now works in New Orleans serving the underserved through his practice. He has interests in men’s sexual health, aesthetics, hormone replacement therapy, and lifestyle medicine. In his free time he is a mentor to students seeking admission to medical school.

He graduated from the University of Miami and loves attending missions trips where he is able to combine his passions of travelling and the practice of medicine. In addition to supporting local health fairs, he has supported trips to Haiti, Ghana, Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua.
