CBT type of psychotherapy that may help with negative thinking, intense emotions, and behaviors as a result. CBT utilizes practical self-help strategies to quickly improve quality of life. CBT is typically used to address depression and anxiety.
DBT is a type of talk therapy based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy. DBT consist of four modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. DBT was initial developed to help treat borderline personality disorder however DBT has been demonstrated to effectively treat depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal behaviors, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use disorder, and eating disorders specifically, bulima and binge eating.
ET is a type of therapy where you're gradually exposed to the things, situations, and activities you fear. ET has four approaches: in vivo exposure; imaginal exposure; virtual reality exposure; and interoceptive exposure. We currently offer imaginal, virtual reality, and interoceptive exposure therapies for phobias, social anxiety, performance anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), eating disorders, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
In vivo Exposure involves directly facing the fear in real life - Check back in February 2024!
Imaginal Exposure involves imagining the feared object or activity.
Virtual Reality (VR) Exposure is where virtual reality technology is used to simulate the a person's fear - fear object or activity.
Interoceptive Exposure involves bringing up harmless physical sensations that are feared.
TF-CBT addresses the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and families suffering from the destructive effects of early trauma. The treatment is particularly sensitive to the unique problems of youth with post-traumatic stress and mood disorders resulting from sexual abuse, as well as from physical abuse, violence, or grief. Because the client is usually a child, TF-CBT often brings non-offending parents or other caregivers into treatment and incorporates principles of family therapy.

SFT is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. In the most basic sense, SFBT is a hope friendly, positive emotion eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioral change.
